Tryout Results :

Thank you to the 53 girls who came out for volleyball this year. If you did not make the team, please keep practicing and come out again next year. It has been a super hard decision to make as a coach. This years Hunter Hawks JV and Varsity teams will be:

**There will be a MANDATORY parent meeting on Tuesday, January 7th at 4:30 in the gym. Each player must have at least one parent attend. 

***I have to order our shorts for the season during the break in order for them to be here for our jamboree on Jan. 10th. Please email me the size shorts that you need by tomorrow evening December 19th. The shorts will cost $20 and must be paid for at the parent meeting. The shorts are Adidas Tech Fit and they come in women's size xs, s, m, l, and xl. The youth sizes are s, m and l. Please send your size to me on Remind or at crow_jenny@hcde.org .


Volleyball Tryouts 2019-2020

Volleyball tryouts will be held Monday, December 16 and Tuesday, December 17 .  Tryouts will be held from 2:30pm to 4:30pm each day.  Players trying out must report to the gym/locker room immediately after school. All participants trying out must be picked up by 4:45pm. All girls interested in playing need to be at both days of tryouts. Tryouts are closed (to any spectators). The names of the girls that make the team will be posted on the HMS website Wednesday afternoon.

A sports physical is required for tryouts and must be dated after April 15, 2019. The physical form must be completed and signed by a doctor then signed by a parent. We have three other color-coded forms in the office that need to be completed as well; Consent for Athletic Participation, Concussion, and Cardiac Arrest forms.

Before considering tryouts, there are a few rules which must be addressed. Each player, once selected for the team, must attend all practices, which will be from 2:30-4:30 Monday-Friday. Team members must be picked up by 4:35 after each practice. Team members must provide their own transportation to games. They must be passing the 2nd quarter to be eligible to play. All players will also be expected to purchase shorts and knee pads. Unlike some of the area sports programs, you will not be guaranteed playing time each game. Our season will end with the HCAC Tournament at the beginning of March. Please be aware that if you make the team, there is a $25.00 sports fee to participate on all Hunter Sports teams. This will be due by Thursday, January 9th.
