Congratulations to all girls and boys who tried out for track this year, you have all made the track team for 2023.
There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Tuesday 3/14/23 at 4pm following practice.
Practice will begin on Tuesday after school and will end just before the parent meeting. Please be sure to bring weather appropriate clothing and a water bottle for practice.
**If you make the team you will be responsible for purchasing your own track jersey and shorts from sports spectrum. This year there have been uniform rule changes and all uniforms must be the same color - these are required and will be able to be used from this point moving forward as we transition to TMSAA state requirements.

Boys and Girls track and field information 2023
Girls tryouts will be held on Wednesday, 3-8-23
Boys tryouts will be held on Thursday, 3-9-23.
Tryouts will end at 4:30pm both days and pick up is required at 4:30pm.
A sports physical dated after 4-15-22 is required for tryouts along with all forms in the sports physical packet. These can be picked up in the front office or printed from the Forms tab from the Track & Field page.
Must have a C or higher in all classes on tryout date to tryout and may not have had an F in any class at the end of semester 1.
**Athletes will be required to maintain a C or better in all classes to participate.
Must attend tryout date to be eligible to make the team, unless arrangements are made prior to tryout date to attend tryouts on a different date. There will be no make up date, unless there is a rain/snow cancellation on one of the two dates.
Showing up on tryout day with no/incomplete paperwork or inappropriate clothing/shoes will not result in trying out on another date.
For those who make both teams practice will end promptly at 4:00pm - pick up must occur at 4pm every practice day. Repeated late pick up will result in removal from the team.
Items needed for tryouts:
Clothing appropriate for the weather as tryouts are held outside regardless of temperature
Running shoes
Water bottle
All required paperwork
A ride at 4:30pm (once tryouts are over practice will end at 4:00pm for those who make the team)
