Thank you to all students who tried out for track this year!

The following students need to return for practice tomorrow 2/14 /24 practice will end at 4pm with a mandatory parent meeting at 4pm in the cafeteria.

Due to weather there will be no tryout today. 

The final day of tryouts for those who tried out last week will be held tomorrow 2/13/24 and will end at 4pm. Students will need to be picked up at 4pm.

The parent meeting for those who make the team will now be held on Wednesday 2/14/24 at 4pm following practice.

Due to the Valentines dance there has been another change to the track schedule:
Boys Tryouts 2/6 - pick up at 4:30pm
Girls Tryouts 2/8 - pick up at 4:30pm
No tryout/practice on Friday
2/12 2nd trout date for both teams if needed or first practive - Pick up at 4:00pm
2/13 Practice until 4:00pm and mandatory parent meeting in the cafeteria following practice.

Due to the student 1/2 day on 2/7 there has been a change to the girls tryout date and the mandatory parent meeting date.

Boys tryouts will be held on 2/6 - pick up at 4:30pm
Girls tryouts will now be held on 2/8 - pick up at 4:30pm
Mandatory parent meeting will now be held following practice on 2/9 at 4pm

Boys and Girls track and field information 2024
Please read info below thoroughly as there are changes related to paperwork from previous years. And changes were made this morning to tryout dates due to a district level schedule change.


A sports physical dated after 4-15-23 is required for tryouts along with all forms in the sports physical packet. These can be picked up in the front office or printed from the Forms tab from the Track & Field page.

***All students must be registered on Final Forms (Click final forms for instructions) and all documents uploaded. Any student who participated in a fall sport may reach out to Mr. Morgan by email at [email protected] to obtain a copy of their sports physical and other documents that were turned in at the start of the school year.


Must attend tryout date to be eligible to make the team, unless arrangements are made prior to tryout date to attend tryouts on a different date. There will be no make up date, unless there is a rain/snow cancellation on one of the two dates.
Showing up on tryout day with out being registered with forms uploaded in Final Forms or inappropriate clothing/shoes will not result in trying out on another date. 


For those who make both teams practice will end promptly at 4:00pm - pick up must occur at 4pm every practice day. Repeated late pick up will result in removal from the team. 

Items needed for tryouts:

Clothing appropriate for the weather as tryouts are held outside regardless of temperature
Running shoes
Water bottle
All required paperwork
A ride at 4:30pm (once tryouts are over practice will end at 4:00pm for those who make the team)

**If you make the team you will be responsible for purchasing your own track jersey and shorts from sports spectrum. This will allow us to adhere to TMSAA requirements. 

Boys will tryout on 2/6/24 meet in the gym after school. Pick up at 4:30pm

Girls will tryout on 2/7/24 meet in the gym after school. Pick up at 4:30pm

Following tryouts practices will end at 4pm

There will be a mandatory parent meeting on 2/8 immediately following practice at 4pm.
